Happy Memorial Day Everyone!
We have a three day weekend!!
This is the day that marks the start of summer and vacation season.
In 1971, Memorial Day was officially declared a national holiday and placed on the last Monday in May.
In December 2000, the president signed into law The National Moment of Remembrance Act. “The National Moment of Remembrance encourages all Americans to pause wherever they are at 3 p.m. local time on Memorial Day for a minute of silence to remember and honor those who have died in service to the nation.
In saying that I would like everyone to remember what Memorial Day is all about. It is a day to honor those who died serving the United States military. Most of us feel it casino online is traditional to fly the American flag at half-mast and to visit cemeteries and memorials. People will have picnics, BBQs, and spend time with their families.
This Monday while you are out and about try and remember at the strike of 3:00 p.m. to pause and think about all of our service men and women who have given so much for us.
